AFTER A WHOLE YEAR BEING IN TOUCH WITH THE LATEST MUSICAL RELEASES TO FEED MY PLAYLIST "THA MONTH IZ HOT", I DESIGNED A LETTERING FOR THE 100 BEST ALBUMS OF THE YEAR -ACCORDING TO MY JUDGMENT- AND Y DEVELOPED A 3D SPIN MODEL ABOUT THE ALBUMS.
FURTHERMORE, I INCLUDED A NEW PLAYLIST THAT CONTAINED THE 150 BEST SINGLES OF THE YEAR. I TOOK THE COVERS FROM THE TOP 5 SINGLES AND LAYERED THEM WITH MASKS AND DIFFERENT BLENDING MODES TO INTEGRATE THEM BENEATH THE TYPESETTING.








THE "DON’T HATE THE PLAYER" REBRANDING IS BORN FROM THE NEED TO PROFESSIONALIZE AND SYSTEMATIZE THE VISUAL IDENTITY OF THE PODCAST. TO DO THIS, WE DEFINED BRAND VALUES AND, BASED ON THEM, IDENTIFIED THE POLO RALPH LAURENT BEAR AS A TRANSVERSAL ELEMENT OF THESE VALUES, THE HIP HOP CULTURE AND PERSONAL HISTORY OF THOSE WHO RUN IT.
BASED ON THIS NEW IDENTITY, THAT CAN BE SEEN IN THE VIDEO, I DESIGNED A WHOLE UNIVERSE FOR THEIR DIGITAL APPLICATIONS, CREATING SPECIFIC FORMATS OF NEWS, REVIEWS, OPINIONS AND INTERVIEWS FOR POSTS. REELS OR SHORTS AND STORIES FORMATS OF DIFFERENT SOCIAL NETWORKS.
FOR THE DESIGN OF THESE TEMPLATES I USED MAINLY ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP AND AFTER EFFECTS, WHILE FOR THE BRAND MANUAL I USED INDESIGN.
DRIZZYCLARE ORDERED ME SOME 3D VISUALS FOR HER NEXT DJ SET IN SEASON 25/26 AND I DESIGNED TWO PARTS: ONE WITH HER LOGO EXTRUDED WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURES AND MATERIALS LINKED TO HER PERSONALITY (Y2K, CHEWY, CHROMED AND BUBBLING) AND ANOTHER WITH A SUMMARY OF THE MISWRITTEN NAMES SHE HAS HAD TO SUFFER THROUGHOUT HER CAREER AND OTHERS WE HAVE INVENTED AS A RESULT OF THE SITUATION.
ALL UNITED BY A BLOOD VESSEL MADE IN BLENDER, LIKE THE ROTATING LOGOS. FUTHERMORE, THE CINEMAGRAPHIC OF THE HAND ON THE CHEST AND THE SUCCESSION OF NAMES WITH GRUNGE TEXTURE, AS WELL AS THE ASSEMBLY AND FINAL COLOR CORRECTION HAS BEEN DONE IN AFTER EFFETCS.

DUE TO THE ALBUM "SUPERNOVA" AND ITS INFLUENCE ON MY PERSON, I DECIDED TO DESIGN A PACK OF STICKERS THAT EMBODY THE TRACKLIST WITH MY IMAGINARY, FROM THE TOTAL 90’S IN THE SCHOOL FIELD TO MY OLD SONY ERICCSON. THE LETTERING OF "AUNQUE ESTÉN LEJOS" IS INSPIRED BY THE DISTANCE AND THE SYMBOLISM THAT THE PHONE PLAYS IN IT. IN THIS WAY, I USED THE FIXED TELEPHONE CABLE TO FORM THE VERB "ESTÉN" AND THE HANDLE FOR THE LETTER "O" OF "LEJOS". IN TURN, I USE A THICK TYPOGRAPHY AND WITH OWN CLIPPINGS OF THE 60'S, AS WELL AS AN AESTHETIC INSPIRED BY YESTERYEAR'S ADVERTISING, TO REFLECT THE NOSTALGIA AND LONGING THAT PRODUCES THE DISTANCE BETWEEN LOVED ONES. FINALLY, I DESIGNED THE ANIMATIONS OF THE PROTAGONISTS, ENDYEL AND JESSE, TALKING TO EACH OTHER, FOR THE CLOSING OF THE VIDEOCLIP.

THE DESIGN OF THE LETTERING AND CREDITS OF "MOONROCK" IS INSPIRED BY THE ARTIST’S GRUNGE AESTHETIC, SO I CHOSE A GOTHIC TYPOGRAPHY AND GAVE IT A DEMONIC TINT. IN ADDITION, I ADDED A ROCKY TEXTURE AND CRUSHED IT INTO FRAGMENTS, JUST AS HIS LYRICS REFLECT. FINALLY, I DESIGNED A 2D ANIMATION EMULATING THE DREAMWORKS IMAGOTYPE FOR THE CREDITS AND REDESIGNED THE LOGOS OF THE FINAL CREDITS OF A FILM OF THIS PRODUCTION COMPANY WITH THE NAMES OF THE ARTIST AND THE DIRECTORS OF THE CLIP.

THE 14 WILLY DOLORES' LETTERINGS FROM UVE ORGAZ CONSIST NOT ONLY OF THE TYPOGRAPHIC COMPOSITION, FOR WHICH I USED THE DRUZHOK TYPEFACE, BUT ALSO OF A LOGO OF THE ARTIST AND ANOTHER OF THE PROJECT, AS WELL AS OF A SPECIFIC ICONOGRAPHY THAT REPRESENTS EACH VISUALIZER. EACH LETTERING ALSO HAS A VFX IN LINE WITH WHAT DESCRIBES THE THEME, SINCE WILLY DOLORES IS AN EVOLUTION OF THE CHARACTER THROUGH HIS EXPERIENCES AND TOWARDS A FUTURE THAT HE WANTS TO PURSUE. FINALLY, I ALSO LAID OUT AND EDITED THE PROJECT PRESS KIT.

THE SICARIOCA COVER CONSISTS OF SEVERAL STEPS. IN FIRST INSTANCE, I ADAPTED THE CARIOCA WAXES' CLASSIC BOX WITH THE THEME OF ITS AUTHORS: LARGOFY AND NEEIV. I CHOSE THIS BOX OF WAXES NOT ONLY FOR THE OBVIOUS REFERENCE AND WORDPLAY, BUT ALSO DUE TO "SICARIONA", THE ORIGINAL TRACK ON WHICH THIS EDIT IS BASED, REMINDS US OF AN ERLIER STAGE IN OUR LIFE, WHERE EVERYTHING WAS EASIER. ONCE I PREPARED THE ILLUSTRATIONS, I DESIGNED A MOCKUP FROM THE ORIGINAL IMAGE OF THE BOX AND INTEGRATED THE ILLUSTRATION. WHEN I HAD EVERYTHING READY, I ADDED IT ON A BACKGROUND LOADED WITH NOISE AND THE DJS' AND SINGLE'S NAMES FILLING AND CONTOURED.
